Can I skip an obstacle?
Of course, you can! Go around any obstacle that you feel you can’t, or don’t want to complete. We recommend each runner assess each obstacle to determine whether your fitness level or nerves will allow you to safely complete it. However, to be eligible to win the $150 first place prize, you must run in the 9:15 AM Competitive Heat, and complete all of the obstacles. If you are unable to complete an obstacle you must do 30 burpees in place, under the watch of a volunteer to ensure completion.

How are the heats structured?
Each heat will be capped at approximately 75 runners to ensure that there are minimal backups at the obstacles. We suggest that competitive runners sign up for the earlier heats so to avoid being caught up in any traffic from earlier heats.

When should I show up?
We recommend arriving at least 1 hour prior to your heat to give you ample time to park, check in and pick up your bib, stretch, and warm up.

Can I run multiple laps?
Run as many laps as you want at no additional cost! You will only be timed on your first time through the start line.

What are the age requirements?
We will allow a participant at 7 years of age, as long as they able to run four miles and are athletically fit. There is no maximum age limit. Spectators of all ages are allowed to attend and watch the event at no cost. Unlimited use of our Mini Renegade Run course is intended for under the age of 7.

Can I volunteer?
If you would like to join our team, we would love to have you. Grab a friend or two and email us your contact information. As the event date nears we will send you a form to choose your shift and availability. We offer letters of community service for students.

What happens if it rains?
The race will not be cancelled for rain!

What do I need to bring to the race?
You must bring a valid government issued ID to check in. This is required to insure the integrity of the timing of the race and for confirmation of those that are of legal drinking age. Without an ID, we cannot give you your free beer! Absolutely no BYOB to the park.

Does everyone get a medal?
Everyone who finishes the race will receive a medal for their accomplishment of completing the race.

Do I have to run at the start time I signed up for?
Since we limit the number of runners in each heat, we ask that that all runners run at the time they’ve signed up for. This is to prevent backups at obstacles, and also for safety. If you would like to ensure your team is in the same start time, please email us with the desired heat and team name and we’ll be sure to get your whole team into one start time.

Will there be a pre-race packet pick-up?
Yes. The logistics of any pre-race packet pickup will be announced as we approach race day. Participants will be notified by email of the location and time. We suggest taking advantage of picking up your packet early as it will allow you to avoid any lines prior to your heat and focus your mind on completing the course.

Will the race be timed?
Yes. All participants will receive an electronic chip in their race packet to time their heat. For accurate timing it is imperative that all runners start in the heat that they have registered for. Please see the instructions in the race packet for accurate timing.

What if I am injured?
We will have an ambulance and paramedics on site to assist any participants that may become injured. We will also have a first aid tent that will be clearly marked should anyone need assistance.

How long does it take to complete the course?
Your finish time will depend on your athletic ability. Most people finish within 45 to 75 minutes but we have participants who chose to walk and take their time and that is perfectly ok.

Can I make changes to my registration?
Sure. Just login to your Active online registration and change away!

Can I get a refund if I can’t make it?
No. All sales are final. We will allow you to transfer your registration to someone else.

Can I transfer my registration to someone else?
Yes. Log into your account on Active, go to your profile and follow the prompts to transfer your registration to another runner. They will then receive an email on how to complete the transfer.

Can I switch heats?
One of the best aspects of running Renegade Run is sharing the experience with your friends. We will make every effort to accommodate all requests. Many heats will sell out and once a heat sells out unfortunately we won’t be able to switch any additional runners into the heat.

How can I change my t-shirt size?
You can change your desired t-shirt size online before midnight Sunday, September 29, 2019. Log into your account on Active. If your shirt doesn’t fit and if available, we also allow you to select a different size at the event!

How can I join a team after I’ve signed up?
Log in to your account on Active, and chose the team you choose to run with. You can also contact the captain of the team to assist you.

How do I change my team name?
All team name changes must be made by a member of our staff. To change your name, email us the captain’s name, current team name, and new team name.

Where can I find photos from the race?
Photos will be in the gallery of our website following the event.

Where can I find the results?
There will be continuous postings of the finishers near the finish line and after the event runners can see their time at coolrunning.com.
